Kimberly Russel and her boyfriend have been together for one year. They maintain a healthy relationship while focusing on school.

Loy Norrix High School, just like most high schools has many teenagers in love. A lot of young people get caught up in relationship, while in high school. Teenagers often fall in “love” as they say.

Sophomore Kimberly Russell is one of many students who has a high school relationship. Although her boyfriend no longer attends Loy Norrix but goes to Phoenix and they still manage a stable relationship. Russell and her boyfriend have been together for a year. Being at different school makes things complicated but allows both of them to focus on their school work while dating.

Being in a relationship with someone who goes to a different school isn’t really all that bad,” said Russell.
Junior Dannielle Hoag is also a student who has a relationship while at Loy Norrix. Being at the same school seems to make things easy and hard for Hoag because people always try to get involved with her and her boyfriends relationship. Although they attend the same school and get to see each other throughout the day, it’s still not all that easy because of the people around them. Like all relationships they have there ups and downs but always seem to manage their differences.

“Teenage love affairs can be real, it all depends on the relationship and trust,” said Hoag.
Sophomore Jada Decker believes that a good relationship needs to have trust, communication and honesty. She also thinks that being at the same school or different schools doesn’t really change anything as long as there is trust.
“I think things can work if both people are faithful, trust each other, and can communicate,” said Decker.
Relationships can be hard, but being in a relationship in high school makes things a lot harder because it can be very stressful dealing with school, a relationship & things in your personal life. Trust, communication and commitment are good ways to keep and build a healthy relationship.
