The Knights’ baseball team drops to 3-2 for the season. They were swept by Niles in a double header on April 14. Because the Niles pitcher threw a shutout in the first game, it was a short game, only going to five innings with the final score being 12-0 Niles.

In the second game, the Knights started off strong and maintained the lead until the third inning when Niles bats got warm again. The second game ended in the sixth inning, 13-3 Niles. The player of the day was sophomore James Rinehart with three hits, one RBI and one scored run.

It’s safe to say it was a rough outing for the Knights. The Knights play crosstown rivals Kalamazoo Central Thursday 4:00 P.M. at home, looking for redemption and to get back on track with their season.
