Hunger Games Trilogy Review

The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins is enthralling and full of adventure. The main character, Katniss Everdeen, lives in District 12, a post-apocalyptic dystopian town, controlled by the Capitol, a futuristic upper-class society. Every year the Capitol throws an even in which they choose 24 children from all twelve districts, one boy and one girl from each district, to participate in the Hunger Games where they will be forced to fight to the death until one victor remains.

Throughout the series, Katniss Everdeen finds herself in the midst of the Capitol’s games and quite possibly the leader of a rebellion against the Capitol. Katniss fights her battles with determination, trust, and friendship. She sparks rebellion through the nation and gives hope to the people of Panem. The books The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay are fast-paced and action packed with a hint of romance sprinkled in.

The Hunger Games tells a story about survival, crisis, family bonds, and strength that anyone can relate to and enjoy.
