After a long year of school, you just want to escape and have a good time. You want to be able to do things you can’t do at home. You want to forget about the past and just focus on what is ahead. Vacation is the perfect solution.

There are so many options in so many different places, but the best place to go is Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The town has so many fun things to do and you will never get bored. You can go through a mirror maze or go to an aquarium. You could stay there forever and have something to do every day.

After the day is done, you can go up the steep mountain and into your cabin home while you look down the balcony at the lights of Gatlinburg shining bright from all the way down the mountain. You then can get in your comfortable bed thinking of all the things you get to do when you wake up.

When you wake up you can drive back to the city and go eat breakfast at ¨Flapjacks Pancake Cabin.” You have to try the waffle and egg breakfast. It comes with a belgium waffle, a side of eggs cooked to your liking and a choice of sausage or bacon.

For lunch you should definitely go to Teeneesee JED’S and get the loaded frito pie. It comes with fritos loaded with chili, cheese, sour cream, jalapeno, tomato and onion. It is all customizable, so you can make it your own.

Next you should go to the Mirror Maze. It is at the ¨Ripley’s Believe It or Not” shop. For a small fee of $7 a person you can go into the glowing maze and try to find your way out. Just don’t hit any walls.

After all your fun you can go get some ice cream at Mad Dog’s Creamery and Donuts. I recommend getting the birthday cake flavor with a waffle cone.

Once you have reached the end of the day and you are hungry the best place to go is Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse. It might be a little expensive, but it is worth every penny. I recommend the beef carpaccio: it costs $24 and it comes with a side of your choice.

After you are done with your trip you pack up all your things and you drive through the streets of Gatlinburg one more time thinking of all the fun you had.

Remember if you go, that it is usually hot in the summer, the daily high being around 89 degrees. Also you will not be around lots of water because it is in the middle of Tennessee. Lastly, there are not a lot of free things to do there. Nevertheless, it is a fun destination with lots of diverse activities and food options. I highly recommend thinking about it for your next break.
