Having 500 million friends doesn’t always mean you are “liked”

In February of 2004, a social network breakthrough occurred: The Facebook. Within the next year, “The” was dropped and Facebook made its debut. That does not mean that there weren’t some struggles along the way.

Two of these struggles developed into lawsuits at the same time to be exact.

The movie “The Social Network” is Mark Zuckerberg’s story about the struggles and triumphs throughout the creation of Facebook. The film was interesting, and slightly funny, all the while documenting real events in Zuckerberg’s life.

According to boxoffice.com, the film accumulated over $22,000 in its opening weekend, and was the most “tweeted”-about movie as of Tuesday, October 5: raking in over 1,700 tweets.

Just look at The Social Network’s head quote, “You don’t get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies.”
