High blonde ponytail with white ribbon, you can see the letters of “Knight” on her deep blue costume. Many girls have wished to be cheerleader in their high school life. Hannah Pittman has joined cheerleading for 3 months.
“I’m proud of my handspring,” she said, “because I practiced over and over.”
Handspring is an acrobatic jump through the air onto one’s hands followed by springing onto one’s feet. Of course it needs a steady effort to get this technique. The cheerleaders practice every day after school for two hours. She is not only a performer but also a high school student at the same time, which means it is hard to keep a balance between studies and practices. However, she is doing her best to make her high school life wonderful.
Loy Norrix students gathered together in the gym for the homecoming pep rally. Lifting each other, big acrobatics, and dancing… The splendid moves cheerleaders made must fascinate the audience.
“Actually I’m terrified during the performance. We have to dance collect routines,” Hannah said.
This feeling shows that she’s trying to make her performance good. She musters up her courage to stand in front of people and make them smile.
Her dream is to become photographer because she is interested in fashion. Fashion and cheerleading keep hold of people’s heart. She will not regret her effort to make her dream come true.
