Seniors Carlos Escamilla and John Gettys received their cap and gowns for graduation, they are very excited to graduate.

This next coming week, will be the class of 2014’s last week of school. They will go on to do something different with their life, whether it be, go to college, getting a job, or traveling. But as most people know, change can sometimes be hard. So some Loy Norrix teachers have some advice to help these soon to be graduates with the transition to what is known as the most exciting time of a persons life.
“Your first year of college is going to be hard. It’s really important to prioritize your classes but still enjoy yourself. In high school you are given so much structure, but college, you have much more freedom which is good, but sometimes hard to get used to.” -Briana English, English
“Do a study abroad program. Join a group you are passionate about. Develop interests outside of school and work, just find something you are passionate about.” -Rebecca Layton Psychology
“Work hard in college because it can determine the quality of the rest of your life, but don’t forget it may also be the last time you can act like a child, so enjoy it.” -Art William, Government
“Be nice to people on your way up in life because you never know who you are going to meet on your way down. My hope for the senior class is that they don’t have any downs in life, but if they do I hope they are nice to themselves and others.” -Angie Laginess, English
“Things to remember when cooking ramen noodles: Ramen noodles are best without broth; boil, remove water, then add spice packet, enjoy.” -Greg Stevens, Art
