Yesterday evening, the Loy Norrix Band and Loy Norrix Orchestra had amazing performances at the Michigan School Band & Orchestra Association’s District Festival. Both ensembles earned Straight Division 1 ratings, both overall and from each individual adjudicator. Concert Festival is not a competition, but a rubric-based performance test, and Division 1 is the highest possible achievement. It was a fantastic night, and great job to all Band and Orchestra members!

The Women’s History Month Door Decorating contest has been extended! Everyone will have until the end of the day Monday, March 6th to decorate their doors. The lunch for our prize winners has been moved out but will still happen. Make sure your door is camera ready!

Attention Key Club members. Our next meeting is at 230 on Tuesday, March 7th in room D13. See you then!

Are you interested in participating in the making of your Senior Video? If so, come to AV Club in room K6 on these dates after school: March 15th, March 22, April 5, April 12, April 19, and May 3rd.

Attention Seniors: As we prepare for graduation, we are in need of any footage you have of you and fellow seniors. A google form will be sent to your email address. The footage is a highlight of graduation and we would love to see your pictures on the big screen.

Attention Would-Be Travelers:

If you were worried about being left behind, worry no more! You still have time to join us in Spain and Portugal this summer. Our travel partner, WorldStrides, has extended the window for signing up until Wednesday, March 22 and we are looking for 2-3 more adventurers. Sign up and get packing!

See Mrs Lewis in C-15 or Senor Holmes in A-12 for more information!

But wait! There’s more! Remember all that Greek Mythology you learned in middle school? Well, it’s time to put it to good use when you sign up for our trip to Greece in June of 2024. Walk in the footsteps of Odysseus, seek knowledge and insight at Delphi, and claim your crown of laurels at the ruins of Olympia!

See Mrs. Lewis in C-15 or Ms. Learner in the Guidance Office for more information on this up-coming odyssey.
