Some of the top athletes in the state competed in the elite mile sponsored by Gazelle Sports at Grand Valley State University on Saturday. The 5280 foot race came down to a sprint finish that needed a finish line photo to decide the first place finish. Joe Meyers beat 2nd place by 4 thousandths of a second for the best time in the state at that distance. He is also now ranked 4th in the nation. Please congratulate Joe Meyers on such an amazing accomplishment!
