The Women’s Soccer team has had 2 strong performances this week. They defeated Portage Northern 3-0 on Monday and then tied the conference leading Mattawan team 0-0 last night.
It was definitely a tense game against Mattawan with some near misses in the last minutes of the contest. To be the best, you need to play the best. The team will host #12 ranked Plainwell on Friday.

This week there will be a school lunch survey available to take in the cafeteria by scanning the QR code on the flyers provided. By submitting a survey you are automatically entered to win a prize. Prizes include wireless earbuds, a mini movie projector, a waterproof action camera, and more! Your feedback is important to KPS Food Service. Don’t forget to submit your survey by May 17th to be entered to win!

Football conditioning will be Thursday after school until 3:15 in the weight room. All football players are expected to be in the weight room after school unless you’re doing a spring sport! Please see Coach Kyle down in the j-wing for any questions

The 2023 Yearbook Signing Party is just a week away! Yearbooks will be distributed on Tuesday, May 16 during fifth hour. To get an invite into the party, you must have purchased a yearbook in advance! There are only around 150 left! Buy yours today at with order number 12613 or find us in the cafeteria or room K3 during your lunch to pay $65 in cash or check. Your yearbook will also get you 15% off at local restaurant San Francisco, so buy one while they still last!

Sword and Board will meet Thursday this week in room C16 from 230-330. All tabletop gamers and games are invited.

There’s a summer journalism camp opportunity at Michigan State July 23-27. If you are interested or already planning to attend, there will be a 30 minute meeting on Thursday, May 11 in Ms. Pankop’s room, K-6. Plan to attend. See Ms. Pankop if you cannot make this very important informational meeting.

Attention Loy Norrix: You are invited May 13th from 4-7pm at the Kalamazoo Expo for the “One World” multi-cultural celebration. The purpose of this event is to promote literacy and celebrate our cultural diversity. This is a great opportunity to get together to celebrate our diversity.

Seniors, The Kalamazoo Promise will be hosting a Post-Secondary Signing Day celebration on May 12th from 10am-1pm. Departure will be immediately after 1st hour so mark your calendars. This will be a celebratory event and a resource fair. All Seniors are welcomed, not just promise eligible students. Look out for an email from your promise coach with more details or stop by their office if you have questions.
