As they head into spring break at 3-0, the Knights baseball team is holding their heads up high. On Tuesday, they swept the Benton Harbor Tigers in a doubleheader. They won the first game 14-2 by the mercy rule in the fifth inning. Junior Paul Vallier started the game and pitched until the top of the 4th inning, until sophomore James Rinehart came into relief and finished the game out strong. Sophomore Bruce Allen went two for three with four RBIs, and was nominated the player of the game.
In the second game, Traver Parlato started on the mound. Grant Mitchell came into the game for Parlato in the top of the 4th inning, providing relief. Once again, the Knights mercied the Tigers, winning 11-1 in the 6th inning. Senior Austin Thompson went three for three and was nominated the player of the game for game two of the doubleheader.
