The last weeks of senior year is often long, boring and busy. It’s hard to stay focused on school when there is so much going on.
“Its really hard for me, I have a lot of absences, it’s really hard to stay focused looking forward to summer and next year,” said senior Katryn Walsh.
Katryn is among many students who are having trouble at the end of this school year.
On the other hand, “It’s actually not that hard because KAMSC keeps me on track,” said senior Sam Bower.
Senior Shelby Esman is staying on track with “looking forward to graduation.”
With the last weeks in the school year for seniors remember to stay focused. Do your homework, study for tests, show up to school and think of how great walking across the stage will feel on June 3rd of 2015.
According to the National Association for college admission counseling website, there are some simple things that seniors can do to help prevent that dreaded end of the year burnout. They recommend planning ahead, don’t obsess, talk about it, and have fun. Keep a planner and know what is coming up, don’t get stuck in the last minute hassle of a final exam project. Don’t obsess about college because it will eventually come, just focus on your mental health and happiness. Be sure to stay in communication with your family, counselors teachers and friends they have your back this year. Finally have fun, go out have fun with your friends.
