Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
Knights swimming and diving lost a close meet last night against KC, 95-88. Event winners included Joe Mitchell in 1 meter diving, Drew Dougherty in 100 Freestyle, the 200 free relay of VanHouten, Bynum, Biernick, and Balden; Evan Teal in the 100 Breast, and the 400 free relay of VanHouten, Harn, Wassink and Dougherty. Show your support next Tuesday as the Knights take on Portage Northern for senior night.
There will be a Serious Fun Pick up today. We are now 1/2 way through this fundraiser for terminally and seriously ill children in developing countries! If you haven’t donated yet – do know that every donation goes to helping these kids. You can make a difference!

Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner? It should be YOU! Come watch the Michigan premiere of the production, “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” and see your incredible classmates tell a story focused on race, family and love. There are shows on Thursday, February 13, Friday, February 14, and Saturday, February 15 at 7:00 pm, and Sunday, February 16 at 2:00 pm. Attention All Knights interested in playing golf this spring, there will be an informational meeting Tuesday, February 18 in Coach Peterson’s TV room at 2:30 pm. All are welcome.
On Saturday February 22nd please join the fun as our Knights take on the Central Maroon Giants for three games of Basketball. During both the women’s’ and men’s’ varsity basketball games all junior and senior students are invited to enter to win a $1,000 scholarship to be used at any of the 14 top independent colleges and universities. That’s right, Michigan Colleges Alliance (MCA) will award three $1,000 scholarships to three Kalamazoo Central students and three $1,000 scholarships to three Loy Norrix students. Winners will be announced at the end of the 3rd quarter of the men’s game. Stop by the Michigan Colleges Alliance booth on Saturday to enter the drawing! Or if you are unable to attend the game visit the counseling office during passing time to complete an entry form. You do not have to be present to win.
