Our varsity baseball team defeated Schoolcraft on Friday, winning the first game by a score of 4-1. Senior Isaiah Anderson got the win, striking out 4 batters over 4 innings pitched. Junior Isaac Scavarda got the save. Senior Lucas Frankart lead the Knights at the plate with 4 RBI, game including a 3-run home run in the 4th inning. The Knights won the second game by a score of 4-3. Sophomore Sam Oberlee got the win, striking out 2. Junior Jackson Bennett got the save. Senior Sam Davis had a two run double to break it open. The boys are back in action tonight vs Harper Creek at 4:30 p.m., with varsity playing at home and JV away.
Tonight is the first home game of the season for the men’s volleyball team. Games start at 5:30 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the gate for $5 cash.
AAC will be available for tutoring from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the following rooms; English in B11, Math in M12W, Science in B14, Social Studies in C19 and Study Hall in A19. There will be no Spanish AAC today. There will be no AAC during testing days this week.
There will be no Sword and Board Club meeting this week due to state testing.
Congratulations to our women’s soccer teams! Both JV and Varsity swept Sturgis High School last Saturday with the final score being 8-0 for both games. The Lady Knights are back in action tonight vs Springport High School at 6:30 p.m.

The upcoming Travel Club parent informational meeting for the 2025 Ireland and Scotland trip will be on Wednesday, Apr. 17 at 6:30 p.m. in room D11, and not on Apr. 10 as previously mentioned.
Come celebrate National School Library Month on Saturday, Apr. 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Library. Wear your pajamas and cheer on the Loy Norrix Book Battle team as they compete against Kalamazoo Central, Portage Central and Portage Northern. Everyone will get a free book, free snacks and a chance to win prizes. See Ms. Coash in the library for more details.

Link Crew is our freshman transition program, where we come together as a team to support next year’s freshmen as they transition successfully to high school. Link Crew is all about learning new leadership skills, helping others, and having a lot of fun. If you want to make a difference at Loy Norrix, pick up an application in the main office or the library. Be sure to read the application carefully and note the mandatory dates at the bottom.
