Swimming & Diving State meet. Another year competing with the best. We are getting stronger each year. Gaining confidence and believing in the one’s self, will bring success to one’s journey. Our school’s program is ranked 18th on the whole state. All 3 relays swam well, the 200 MR, 200 FR & 400 FR . ALL 3 set new school records. Individual qualifiers Ellis Haase swam strong in the 100 Back, Laurel Wolfe dove well, Anni Schnell went 2 PR in the 50 Fr and 100 Fly, swimming in finals, setting 2 new school records. Samantha Vande Pol is seeded 11th going into finals. Congrats to Sam Vande Pol & Anni Schnell for making Finals! Awesome final chapter to our season and congrats to the whole team for their successful season!

Yoga Club will take place tomorrow from 2:45-4:00 in Rm. J-11. Come relax and de-stress with us. We have yoga mats, so just wear comfy clothing. We hope to see you there!

Do you need community service hours or just want to come Christmas Caroling this Wed afterschool? If so we will meet at Mrs. May’s door next to the C-wing computer lab this Wed. We will leave at 2:35 and return back to school at 4:30.
The 2019 annual Food Drive begins today! Our first pick up from each classroom will be each Tuesday and Thursday during 4th period. The final day is Monday, Dec 16th. Please bring in non-perishable items to the classroom of your choice, any class period. Choose your classroom and know you will be making a difference in the lives of many!
the Winter Formal- The knight of northern lights is this Sat. don’t miss out on this wonderful way to celebrate winter and a fun way to dance with fellow Norrix students all decked out in some dress up clothes. There will be refreshments, a raffle prize and great music to dance from. Tickets will be sold at all breakfasts, all 3 lunches and from Mrs. May.
There will be no AAC this week.

Help Deca raise school supplies for Guatemala. Place any notebooks, pencil holders and used backpacks in the blue boxes that have been placed in the downstairs K-wing, Library and in the C wing. Backpacks will be passed out to the children in Guatemala to help lower the cost of school, and give them a shot at an education.
Seniors, have you heard about Southwestern Community College? This college is located an hour away from Kalamazoo, and it is located in Dowagiac, MI. This college offers on campus apartments and a 2 plus 2 program with Ferris State. Loy Norrix will be visiting Southwestern community college on January 16th. If you are interested, please stop by the table at your lunch on the 2nd or 3rd to receive a permission slip. If you have any questions, you may talk to Mrs. Soisson in K5E.
