Attention class of 2021 Executive Board: We will be meeting today after school.
Attention All Knights interested in playing golf this spring, there will be an informational meeting Tuesday, Feb 18 in Coach Peterson’s TV room at 2:30 pm. All are welcome.
Attention Female Students! Are you interested in learning what a career in technology could mean for you? Join our EFE Information Technology students on Thursday February 20th at 1pm for a Women Rock I.T. interactive broadcast. Please sign up for this exciting presentation in the counseling office.
There are just 5 more pick ups for Serious Fun each Tuesday and Thursday until March 3. The top 2 donating classes will have a pizza lunch on Monday, March 10. The top 10 donating students will also be invited to the luncheon to receive a special something from Serious Fun. Remember; for a quarter your teacher will give you a Serious Fun Face that will be put up in the cafeteria.
On Saturday February 22nd please join the fun as our Knights take on the Central Maroon Giants for three games of Basketball. During both the women’s and men’s varsity basketball games all junior and senior students are invited to enter to win a $1,000 scholarship to be used at any of the 14 top independent colleges and universities. That’s right, Michigan Colleges Alliance (MCA) will award three $1,000 scholarships to three Kalamazoo Central students and three $1,000 scholarships to three Loy Norrix students. Winners will be announced at the end of the 3rd quarter of the men’s game. Stop by the Michigan Colleges Alliance booth on Saturday to enter the drawing! Or if you are unable to attend the game visit the counseling office during passing time to complete an entry form. You do not have to be present to win.
Attention graduating Seniors! If you have an interest in speaking at your commencement ceremony, you need to sign-up in room B18 by Thursday, February 27.

The Kalamazoo Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is currently accepting applications from graduating seniors for a 4 year scholarship. Applications are due on March 16, 2020. Eligibility Criteria:
- High school senior at Ba le Creek Central, Loy Norrix or Kalamazoo Central High Schools
- Female of African American or African heritage
- Minimum cumula ve grade point average (GPA) of 2.50
- In good standing at her school
- Has a financial need
- Accepted at an accredited college or university
The Kalamazoo Alumni Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc is currently accepting applications for their 2020 Scholarship Program. The completed application package must be postmarked no later than April 1, 2020.
You are eligible to apply for a KAPSI Foundation Scholarship if the following criteria are met:
- African American or Hispanic American male high school graduating senior;
- Attend Kalamazoo Central High School, Kalamazoo Loy Norrix High School or Battle Creek Central High School;
- Accepted and enrolled as a full time student in an institution of higher learning for the fall semester;
- G.P.A. of 2.5
- Documented community service
