The weight room is open for any athlete on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday after school from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The Sword and Board Club will meet Thursday, Feb. 8 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in room C16. All tabletop gamers and games are invited to join.
The Loy Norrix Travel Club will be going to the Galapagos Islands this summer from Jul. 15 through Jul. 22. There are still spots available. The cost is $4,900.00, and you will have the opportunity to earn college credit. If you are interested in signing up, please check out the WorldStrides website and use code Kalamazoo-2024 to register. Last weekend, our bowling team took on Otsego. The men’s team dominated the competition, winning both baker games by over 50 points. Leading the charge was Haneef Hampton with a 242 game, followed by Hunter Conolly with a 235 game, who additionally secured a 257 game for a 492 series. Despite the continuing shortage of athletes on the women’s bowling team, TejaShrea Dantu managed to set great personal games of 126 and 124.
AAC will be open today from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. for tutoring in the following rooms: English in B11, Math in M12W, Science in B14, Social Studies in C19, Spanish in K12 and Study Hall in C16.
The wrestling team competed in SMAC conferences this past weekend. Will Dominianni came out as conference champion, while Caleb Burns and Dennis Allen-Womack earned 4th place. As for the JV wrestlers, Michael McDonald earned 2nd place while Robert Pounds took 3rd.
The Class of 2027 will be hosting the Winterfest dance in just a couple of weeks, on Feb. 16 from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. Tickets will be on sale for $15 apiece at all three lunches starting Monday, Feb. 12 and continuing until the day of the event. Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $20. There will also be a gift card raffle for several businesses, including Barnes & Noble, WingStop and Target. If you are a graduating senior interested in speaking at your commencement ceremony, you need to sign up in room B18 by Tuesday, Feb. 27.
