The conference championship was held in track and field at Portage Central on Saturday. Both teams performed well. While none of our sprinters or throwers placed, the mid-distance, distance, and jumpers had a great showing and all relays scored. Ana was 3rd in the 800 and 1600, Sofia and Abby scored in those events as well. Trevor was 2nd in both hurdle events while Naomi and Neveah scored in one of those each as well. Jackson was 3rd in the 1600 and Sam was 2nd in the 800. James was first in high jump and Thomas was 2nd in pole vault. Trevor also scored in long jump, Helen in pole vault, and Nevaeh in high jump. The highlight of the meet was the 4×800 relay team of Oskar, Jackson, Gryffin, and Sam setting the school and conference meet records in a time under 8 minutes! Congratulate everyone and encourage them this week as they prepare for the regional meet on Friday.
