Attention AP Art students for the 22/23 school year. Again, if you are enrolled in AP Art for the 22/23 school year, listen up! Please stop by Mr. Stevens’ room, A-21 to pick up your summer assignment for next year. This assignment is a requirement to stay enrolled in the course in the Fall. Please see Mr. Stevens if you have any questions.

The track and field regional meet was held at Portage Central High School Friday. Out of 17 teams in the region, the women’s team finished 15th and got avenged their loss to BC Lakeview from earlier in the season. The men’s team finished 6th.

Personal best performances were given by Carter in discus, Jeziah in long jump, Hank and Ella in the 400, Macy in the 800, and Naomi and Alviana in the 300 hurdles.

The women’s scorers were the 4×800 relay team, Ella in the 400, and Ana in the 1600. The men’s scorers were Kevin in the 100 and 200, the 4×200 relay team, and Anthony in shot put. Just barely missing the state cut but still scoring were Trevor in the 110 hurdles, James in high jump, and Sam in the 800.

All three of these guys were able to redeem themselves to some degree though as they were parts of the state meet bound 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams along with Hank, Nolan, and Oskar. Please encourage these athletes for the next two weeks as they prepare to compete for all state honors on June 4th in Rockford.
