Do you need volunteer hours, or just want to improve your community? Knights of the Neighborhood is a club that represents Norrix in Kalamazoo. Our meetings are on Tuesdays from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in room B13.
Men’s Basketball tryouts are a few weeks away. You can pick up a schedule and paperwork you need in the athletic office in order to participate. Tryouts will be Nov. 13 to 15 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Before tryouts, you should file your physical, register through Planet High School, and pay your insurance fee.
Interested in wrestling this winter? The first official practice is Nov. 13, from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. All are welcome.
AAC will be open today for tutoring in the following rooms: English in B11, science in B14, Spanish in K10, ESL support in K1, and study hall in C16.
The Sword and Board club will meet this Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 in room C16. All tabletop gamers and games are invited to join.
Final exams are right around the corner. If you’re a freshman, come join Link Crew for a Snack and Study after school on Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. A Snack and Study event is where you can get tutoring help and snacks. Make sure you bring your freshman ID and have your own transportation home.
We need crew members to work on our musical “Oklahoma!” We are looking for about 20 dedicated students to help with lights, sound, ushering, backstage work and more. Please pick up an application from Mr. Lafferty in room J11. Applications are due Wednesday, Nov. 8.
Are you a hidden Pokemon master? Come prove it on Nov. 29, as the esports team presents their first Pokemon Battle Day event in Mr. Wood’s room, C19. Keep an eye out around the school for fliers with QR codes for the signup form and a Google Classroom containing information on rules and former events, or join using classroom code u3wziea. Teachers are also welcome to participate. Any other questions can be sent to Mr. Wood.
Looking for a new winter wardrobe? Green School is hosting a clothing swap on Nov. 30 in the Cafeteria from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. Please bring any clothing you would like to swap, excluding undergarments and socks, to room B14 in the weeks prior to the event. There will be a $3 entry fee and each person can take as many articles of clothing as they wish.
