Attention students: the CIS Snacks are only available before and after school.  No snacks will be handed out during passing time or lunch.

Student athletes look for weekly emails from Mrs. Rocco regarding volunteer work.  You can log your volunteer hours using the QR code posted outside of the athletic office.

Loy Norrix Key Club has now begun their annual membership drive. If you are interested in joining Key Club, please pick up the membership profile outside of Ms. Nelson’s room, D13. Key Club is an international club in over 35 countries around the world. Its mission is to serve, build character and develop leadership. Being an active member looks great on resumes and college applications. Please see Ms. Nelson or a current Key Club member if you have any questions. The first Key Club meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 19th at 2:30 in Ms. Nelson’s room D13. All are welcome!

The Green School club will meet on Thursday in room B14. If you missed the meeting last week, no problem! You are still welcome. If you have questions, you can stop by B14 and talk to Mr. David. Hope to see you there!

This week we are highlighting guidelines for using the library. #3:  Please enjoy any food in the cafeteria before coming to the library!  Food attracts bugs, and if we let the bugs get near the books, they will gain all the knowledge and take over the world.  As you can tell from this joke, the librarian has enough cheese in the library already.

Come to Mr. Shack’s room, C13, on Friday September 15th for the first Young Democrats club meeting of the year! We will discuss future meetings, activities and plan for the year. Come for political discussion and action with the Young Democrats on Friday!

AAC will be open today for tutoring from 2:30 to 3:30 in the following rooms: social studies in C19, math in B13, English in B11, science in B14, ESL support in K1, and Spanish in K12. Study hall will not be open today.

Are you interested in running for office someday or working in politics? Our Youth in Government Team is a fun and exciting way to learn about how to be an elected official and get laws passed. This year, our Youth in Government team has a lot planned and is ready to compete against hundreds of other Michigan students in the actual chambers of the Michigan Capitol. Come find out more at our second Youth in Government meeting this year, after school on Monday the 18th in D18, Ms. Johnson’s room, at 2:20!
