The GSA will meet today in Room K1 at 2:30 to hear a presentation on identities from Out Front Kalamazoo.

AAC will be open for tutoring today in the following rooms: English in K13, Math in C16, Science in C17, Social Studies in K2, Spanish in A18, Chinese in K1, Study Hall in B22, and testing in A19.

The library will be closed due to AP testing. Books can be returned to the window outside of Ms. Lewis’s office. Students needing Chromebook help may use the hallway entrance into Ms. Lewis’s office during 1st, 3rd or 5th period.

All loaner Chromebooks must be returned to Ms. Lewis before the end of the school year. There will be a $305 fee for any that are not returned. 

The results from Flint this weekend for your Loy Norrix Esports teams are in: our League of Legends team is state runner-up, taking our first game from Mona Shores then losing a hard fought battle to East Kentwood. Our Smash team lost in round 3 in a close fight with Charlotte, and then another close loss in the battle back bracket to Mona Shores ended our day. Everyone was a great sport, and the day was a huge success. Congratulations everyone, and lets look forward to next year!

Sword and Board will meet Thursday from 230-330 in room C16. All tabletop gamers and games are invited to join. We are specifically looking to build groups for Magic the Gathering and Pokemon TCG matches. If you play either of these games, please consider stopping by!

The Loy Norrix Esports club is holding another Pokemon tournament after school on Thursday, May 16 in Mr. Wood’s room, C19. You can sign up and see the rules on the Google Classroom by scanning the QR codes found in the hallways or using Google Classroom code u3wziea. If you have any questions, contact Mr. Wood.

Have you ever wanted to visit a castle? Travel Club will be visiting four different castles as they travel to Ireland and Scotland in the summer of 2025. This educational trip will be 12 days long. Scholarships and financial aid are available. Students can earn 3 college credits, and teachers can earn 3 CEUs. Informational packets can be found by the main office, near the bathrooms by the cafeteria and outside room D11. Students may contact Ms. Ward in D11 or Mrs. Learner in the guidance office for more information; there will also be an informational parent meeting Wednesday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m. in room D11.

The Kalamazoo Promise Signing Day event is approaching. All seniors are invited to attend the event downtown at the Arcadia Festival Site on May 10. There will be live music, karaoke, a lip sync battle, raffles, food trucks, carnival games and more. Please make sure if you are Promise eligible, your Promise Application and Scholarship Acceptance Form are submitted before the day of the event. Please reach out to Coach Moore for more information.
