As a school we have collected $922.30 which is 1/2 of what we did last year but are thankful for what we have donated so far to Serious Fun. We will have just 2 more pick ups this Thursday and next Tuesday. There will be a pizza lunch for the top 2 donating classrooms. The top 5 donating classrooms are: in 5th place is Hernandez, in 4th place is Peterson/May, in 3rd place is Rashad, in 2nd place is Allen/May and Leander moved into 1st place.
Attention students: TIP day is today in the library – students who are eligible should have received an electronic and physical pass. Michigan Tuition Incentive Programs covers up to 2 years of tuition at a community college and grants up to $2000 to students once they become Juniors in college. #FREEMONEY
The Kalamazoo Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is currently accepting applications from graduating seniors for a 4-year scholarship. Applications are due on March 16th. Also,
The Kalamazoo Alumni Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc is currently accepting applications for their 2020 Scholarship Program. The completed application package must be postmarked no later than April 1st. Please stop into the Guidance Office for more information on these 2 and other scholarship information.
Attention Men’s Lacrosse players and prospective players: there will be a meeting at 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 27, in the Kalamazoo Central cafeteria to meet the new coach. Anyone interested should attend and bring parent/guardians. Any questions, check in the athletic office.
Attention Class of 2021: You have until Monday, March 2 to turn in your submissions for our senior shirt and banner design. You can submit your designs by google docs, under Mrs. May’s door or in her mailbox!

The Peacejam Youth Leadership Conference this year hosts Ms. Karem from Yemen at WMU March 21 and 22. She received her Nobel Peace Prize for securing a role for women in the peacebuilding and democratic processes in Yemen. If you are interested in attending this event the registration form can be found on Mrs. May’s door next to the C-wing computer lab or come to a Thursday morning Peacejam meeting in Mrs. Witt-Thomas’s room in C19.
Attention all students. The PBIS team will soon be hosting the 2nd Academic Celebration of the year. This celebration is to recognize student achievement from the 2nd trimester. In order to attend, you must meet the following qualifications from 2nd trimester; no Referrals and one of the following: 3.5 G.P.A., Perfect attendance, or .5 increase in GPA from 1st to 2nd trimester.
Make sure you are working hard and doing everything you can to finish up strong this trimester. Start studying now for your exams and make sure you have turned in all of your work. Hope to see you at the celebration in May! Commit* Succeed* Graduate!
