Interact club of Loy Norrix meeting will be today, Wednesday at 2:30pm in the cafeteria. New members are welcome.

Freshman Class executive board members will meet today, January 8th at 7am or 2:30 pm in Room A12 to organize for the dance for Winterfest. This is a very important meeting and all members need to attend. We will elect class officers as well. See Ms. Van Lieu A12. 

Chess Club meets today from 2:20 to 3:30 in Computer Lab D10. Anybody may attend, and anyone who beats Mr. Bellware wins a customized chess board.

If you registered to compete in Fortnite, there will be a mandatory meeting after school in Mr. Greeley’s room B13 today, January 8th to talk about the upcoming season. See you there!

Senior Class executive board members will meet on Thursday, January 9th at 2:30 in room A12. See Ms. Van Lieu for questions. 

There will be a green school meeting this Thursday in Room B14 after school. All are welcome, see you there!

Travel Club members who are going on either trip in 2020 are required to attend a mandatory meeting on Saturday, January 11th at 9:00 am in the meeting room at Washington Square Library. Please bring 3 passport copies. RSVP to Ms. Van Lieu in A12.

Peacejammers please wear your Peacejam shirt to our Thursday morning meeting for the yearbook picture We will be discussing the Serious Fun fundraising, the Peacejam Conference and the Literacy Project. 

Attention class of 2021 Executive Board: Please wear your class of 2021 t-shirt or sweatshirt for the Yearbook picture on Friday morning. There will be a few extra 2021 shirts there if needed.

It’s time again to take a look at the AP classes we have here at Norrix. There will be an APeek day on Wednesday, January 15. If you would like to sit in on an AP class and see if it is the right fit for you sign up in the counseling office to reserve your spot today!

It is almost Lacrosse season! To prepare for a successful season there will be conditioning every Monday through Thursday from 4:30 to 6pm located at Maple Street Middle school. Conditioning started yesterday. Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate in conditioning and to join the team! 

Attention Book Quiz Bowl Members: we will meet from 2:30-4:30 pm each Tuesday and Thursday in C13. Bring your annotation notebooks. 

Young men! Do you want to develop your leadership skills and refine your self-image, social skills and environmental awareness? Join other young men from Kalamazoo Central and Phoenix High School by joining Kappa League. For more information and an application see Ms. Middleton in the counseling office.  

Softball conditioning begins next week. We will meet in the weight room on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school for the next four weeks to get in shape for the spring season. Participation is optional but encouraged. Softball open gyms also begin next week, going every Sunday from 3-5 pm starting on January 19th. See Coach Johnson in C12 if you have any questions.

Freshman and Senior Class Tshirts are still on sale through the Month of January. Fill out your form and bring it back with cash to Ms. Van Lieu in A-12 at anytime during the school day. The forms are in folders throughout the school. 

Attention all members of the Tea Club: The next meeting will be held next Tuesday, January 14th. Remember to please bring a friend, snacks or even a tea cup that you would like to donate to us. This meeting will be held in Mrs. Stetten’s classroom in C23.
