Happy Banned Books Week! This week we celebrate our freedom to read and think for ourselves. Book bans and censorship challenges are happening in schools and libraries across the country. Writer Laurie Halse Anderson says “Censorship has nothing to do with protecting children. It has to do with protecting adults who don’t want to have difficult conversations with those children.” Celebrate Banned Books Week by checking out a banned or censored book from the library today, and learn more on instagram @LNLibrary
