Former Klu Klux Klan (KKK) Grand Wizard David Duke, endorsed Donald Trump. Of course David Duke, the white supremacist can endorse whoever he wants freely. Duke’s endorsement of Donald Trump shouldn’t come as a surprise peering over Trump’s track record, including his speeches–could appeal to white supremacist.
It should be reckoned that many don’t like David Duke, while some even detest him because of his White Supremacy ideologies. It should be noted that hating Trump for Duke’s endorsement of Trump doesn’t make sense and could be seen as vacuous. The difficulty of this situation though, comes from the overwhelming concern of how Trump has handled Duke’s endorsement.
“Just so you understand, I don’t know anything about David Duke, okay?” said Trump.
Multiple times Trump was told that Duke was a former Wizard of the KKK. Trump still stumbled to disavow Duke’s endorsement.
“I don’t know any–honestly, I don’t know David Duke. I don’t believe I have ever met him. I’m pretty sure I didn’t meet him. And I just don’t know anything about him,” said Trump.
Trump claims to not know who Duke is, but failed to recall talking about him on Larry King Live.
In 1991, Donald Trump had a conversation on Larry King Live. This, coming after David Duke’s defeat of George H.W. Bush as elected governor of Louisiana.
“Did the David Duke thing bother you? Fifty-five percent of the whites in Louisiana voted for him. Four hundred New Yorkers contributed,” Larry asked Trump.
“I hate seeing what it represents, but I guess it just shows there’s a lot of hostility in this country. There’s a tremendous amount of hostility in the United States,” said Trump.
Donald Trump knows who David Duke is, the question America needs that needs to come and be analyzed is this: Why wouldn’t Trump immediately repudiate Duke’s endorsement?’
