Loy Norrix hosted Coldwater last Thursday and won 127-55. Event winners included Evan Teal in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Breastroke, Drew Dougherty in the 200 I.M. and 100 Fly, Roman Wassink in the 50 Free and 100 Back, Keng Wee in the 500 Free, and Joe Bynum in the 100 Free. Next meet is against the Giants at Kalamazoo Central this Thursday at 6pm. Hope to see you there.

A Shout out to all three levels of Men’s Basketball for completing the sweep against Gull Lake. Special shout out to Tyler Roberts for hitting the game winning three pointer as time expired. The team would like to thank the student section for coming out, cheering loud, and pushing us to a win.

There is no AAC today. AAC will only be open Tuesday and Thursday of this week due to staff meetings.

Latin and Travel Clubs are sponsoring a fabulous trip to Italy in 2021. There will be a parent and student information meeting tonight, February 10th at 6:30pm in room A12. You may get enrollment packets from Mr. Hernandez in A16 or Ms. Van Lieu in A12. There is a large scholarship available for the next 2 weeks. Don’t delay in enrolling.

Travel Club to Paris will meet tonight, February 10th Monday at 7pm in Room A12. Travel to Italy will meet on Feb 10 at 6:30p in room A16. Pick up enrollment packets from Mr. Hernandez or Ms. Van Lieu in either room. There are still 2 spots for Scandinavia. See Ms. Van Lieu.

Kids can make a difference in our world! YOU can with a donation to the class of your choice make a difference in the lives of serious or terminally sick kids in developing countries. There will be a pick up tomorrow and Thursday this week. This fundraiser will end on March 3rd.

Students as you are finishing your course request for next year and still debating on if that AP class is for you sign up for our APeek day. Go sit in an AP class for 15 minutes and see what it’s all about. Sign up in the counseling office!

Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner? It should be YOU! Come watch the Michigan premiere of the production, “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” and see your incredible classmates tell a story focused on race, family and love. There are shows on Thursday, February 13, Friday, February 14, and Saturday, February 15 at 7:00 pm, and Sunday, February 16 at 2pm. Tickets are only $7 with Saturday being discounted for only $5 with your student ID! Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. Please see Mrs. Carrow in J11 if you have any questions.

Juniors – are you interested in dual enrollment for next year. Not sure of your next steps or how to sign up. Please come to our dual enrollment information session Friday, February 14th during 2nd period in the cafeteria. Sign up in the counseling office today!

Attention all of you love birds out there. Why give flowers for Valentine’s Day when they can die. Instead, give the gift that lasts forever! DNA!!! Loy Norrix Key Club is hosting a Valentine’s Party on Thursday, February 13th immediately after school in room K10. For $5 you will reserve your spot at the party, receive sweet treats, make a DNA necklace, Make Valentine cards, and listen to music. Space is limited, so sign up soon with Ms. Nelson for the party of the year!

It’s February, and you know what that means; Valentine’s Day is almost here! Are you looking for a fun, thoughtful, and unique way to show someone you care? Then let the LoyNorrix Choir take care of that for you. We’ll sweetly serenade your special someone and your friends with a Singing Valentine during classes on February 14. Singing Valentines cost just $3 for a song and a Hershey’s kiss, or $5 for a song and a full-size chocolate bar, and they can be purchased during all three lunches. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and if you have that one special person and want to let them know how special they are to you, then Green school has got you covered. You can stop by the table during your lunch and buy a flower, candy and add an anonymous note for as little as $2 for a flower or $3 for a flower, candy and a card.

Peacejammers that missed last Thursday’s meeting – You will find the new agenda for events on Mrs. May’s door on pink paper. The 1st Presbyterian Valentine Homeless Dinner is this Wednesday. We will be meeting at 4:45 pm. Wear your Peacejam shirt and bring either 2 liters of pop, a big bag of chips or desserts.
