This weekend the bowling teams competed in our regionals. Although we had some good games, we didn’t fair too well, finishing 11th out of 17 schools. I would like to acknowledge Haneef Hampton for setting a new high game or for bowling his best all day.
In the singles competition, we had not 1 but 2 bowlers quality for the state finals.
Congratulations and good luck to Anthony Fotis, and Hope Dunn. They both finished 7th out of more than 100 bowlers. Great job all the bowlers should be proud.

Some of your Loy Norrix Knights competed in the Indoor Track and Field State Meet in Ypsilanti this past weekend. Trevor Watts ran a personal best 8.81 seconds in the 60m hurdles to qualify for the semifinals where he just came short of making the finals. He finished 14th in the state. The men’s 4x800m relay of Sam Allen, Hank Perkins, Nolan Tribu, and Oskar Wiedenhoeft ran a personal best team time of 8:28.1 finishing 12th in the state and 3rd best team time for our school in the last 20 years. Sam Allen also competed individually in the 800m. He finished 24th in the state with a time of 2:03.27 which was 8 seconds better than his best time last year. Ana Dunfee battled sickness but still ran the 1600m. Her time of 5:25.59 was good enough for 39th in the state and 13 seconds better than her best time last year. Please congratulate these hard working athletes
