The Loy Norrix Forensics team competed valiantly at Portage Northern this past weekend. Despite being short-handed, the team took 3rd place overall in the top division. Braeden Davis took first place in storytelling, while Meg Elfring, Max Achenbach, Reed Davis, and Lilly Banks all took 2nd place in their respective events. Meanwhile, Riley Sackett, Ellen Terzino, Curtis Chapman, and Catie Frink all advanced to the finals. Great job team and Go Goose!

The National Honors Society will be hosting the yearly Blood Drive on March 20th from 7:45-1:30 in the back gym. You can sign up at all 3 lunches this week! Students 17 and up can donate, and students who are 16 can donate with parental consent. Snacks will be provided! Make sure you meet the height and weight requirements for donating when you sign up. Stop by the scheduling table located in the cafeteria during your lunch to find out more. The Red Cross is giving $10 Visa prepaid cards by email to those who donate blood.

There will be no AAC this week. AAC will start next week on March 20th.

Course Selection Sheets are due by this Friday, March 17. Please have them turned in so counselors know which classes you’d like for next year!

Sword and Board will meet on Thursday this week due to staff meetings.

Men’s volleyball tryouts are this week Wednesday, and Thursday 7:30-9:30 in the gym. All skill levels are welcome. Show up early to get signed in. Contact Coach Mac if you have any questions see you tonight!

Are you interested in participating in the making of your Senior Video? If so, come to AV Club in room K6 on these dates after school: tomorrow, March 15th, March 22, April 5, April 12, April 19, and May 3rd.

Attention Seniors: As we prepare for graduation, we are in need of any footage you have of you and fellow seniors. A google form will be sent to your email address. The footage is a highlight of graduation and we would love to see your pictures on the big screen.

Remember all that Greek Mythology you learned in middle school? Well, it’s time to put it to good use when you sign up for our trip to Greece in June of 2024. Walk in the footsteps of Odysseus, seek knowledge and insight at Delphi, and claim your crown of laurels at the ruins of Olympia! See Mrs. Lewis in C-15 or Ms. Learner in the Guidance Office for more information on this up-coming odyssey.
