The cross country teams completed a grueling stretch of 4 meets in 9 days. Both teams finished 2nd in the division Tuesday with Jackson, Dylan, Oscar Dunfee, Sofia, Lilly, Macy, and Teagan all getting all division honors. Friday, during the JV race, many kids ran amazing times. Graham medaled and Eli was just two spots from medaling in a competitive field. Axel ran his first race, Pap PRed by nearly 3 minutes, and Thomas continued his improvement streak. On the women's side, Lauren PRed by almost 3 minutes, her sister Jenna by one and a half minutes, and Joyce improved by almost 2 minutes. On Saturday, the varsity competed and had some shining moments too. Nearly half of them had season or personal best times. The biggest improvements were from Laylah and Hawwa. Jackson was the only medalist, finishing in 6th with his best time ever and the best 5k time in the school's recent history. We will be checking the record books, but he may be the fastest cross country runner in school history. Everyone races again this Saturday at Otsego. Please wish them continued success as the work hard to improve. Do you speak multiple languages? Are you a junior or a senior?
