Now that the completion of one third of the school year has come, some other tasks have to be completed. One important task is here, ordering caps and gowns.

Caps and gowns for Loy Norrix students will be purchased from Jostens. In the package received on December 7th, a bright green paper gives different types of deals that Jostens has to offer. One deal offered happens to be if you buy your class ring from Jostens, your cap and gown will be free.

If you have a brother or sister who graduated from Loy Norrix, you are more than welcome to wear their cap and gown according to the Dean of Students, Valerie Boggan. Make sure it is not faded or you will not be able to wear it.

Along with deciding what to order, there are of course some important deadlines that have to be met. December 18th, at lunch, grad product orders are due. Along with your order there has to be a $50 deposit. A remainder of the balance will be due in the spring at lunch as well.

If you missed the senior meeting regarding this information, there are packets available in the office. Do not lose this packet because you can only have one. If there are questions regarding Jostens you can call (269) 321-0809 or email [email protected].

Start browsing for announcements and reminders now. Do not miss the deadlines and one task off of your senior list is complete.

I personally feel Loy Norrix did not do a good job of letting all seniors know about this. It’s made being a senior that much more of a hassle and stressful. I wish there could be more effort to make sure that the school takes better care of its seniors.
