Bryson Tiller is an American artist who specializes in the “Trap-Soul” genre. Tiller’s new album, “The Vices,” gives listeners a new “playa” side of his music. The album includes two disks. The first disk, “Solace,” dropped on Oct. 2, 2025, and the second, titled “The Vices,” was released on Aug. 8, 2025. This is Tiller’s fifth studio album. While most artists tend to pick between either rapping or singing, Tiller utilizes both his rapping and singing talent in this album, which makes him stand out amongst other artists in the industry. “Solace” features lots of hits, but I have narrowed it down to my top five favorite songs.

At number five, I’m going to put “Make life easy.” Trap artist Baby Drill is featured in this song, where his well-paired voice complements the beat in the song’s first bars. Tiller is introduced halfway through the song. He changes the flow of the song, providing a smooth melody throughout the rest of the track.

In fourth place, I have to put “On my way.” This track feels like some of his earlier music, just in a more modern style. The beat drop starts the song off masterfully, and in the last 30 seconds, Tiller uses his vocals in a way that is reminiscent of his older music.

The number three spot deserves to go to “More than money.” At first, it feels like it’s going to be a slow song, but once the beat drops, the pace picks up. The mix of his rapping and singing works well in the song, and the hooks are impressive. The ending features elements of southern hip-hop, which surprisingly complements the song.

The number two spot goes to “No sharing,” which is more of an upbeat song. It features Luh Tyler, a Florida rapper who is in the hip-hop and trap genres of music. Tyler’s lyrics, matched with Tiller’s singing, form a perfect blend. Together, this unexpected duo pairs phenomenally on this song, especially considering their genres are not usually mixed in the music industry. The outcome of this song is very well executed by Tyler and Tiller.

Finally, the number one spot goes to “Mini Kelly.” The angelic string instruments that play throughout the song with Tiller’s voice give it a nice vibe and a perfect tone. Tiller’s rapping in this song is excellent and his flow is exquisite. Rick Ross, a hip-hop artist, is also featured in this song, carrying over his signature rap mixed with seraphic instrumentals. Ross’ bars are excellent and flow super well with the beat. My favorite lyric from this song is Tiller’s, “I gave you more and learned my lesson, poor me, but you my blessin.” It highlights the whole meaning of the song, that buying and owning expensive things is “cool”, but having somebody is worth much more than any high-end piece of clothing or an accessory.
