Nice job to the tennis team on doing volunteer work this week. Athletes please look for the email from Mrs. Rocco for times to sign up to work in the concession stand. Keep getting those volunteer hours.
If there are any students interested in registering for the Portage Invitational cross country race for this Saturday, see coach Schmidt in K16. The 8:15 race is open to anyone, regardless of being on the cross country team or not. If you want to run a 5k, this is a great event filled with good people, good music, and good times. Anyone who beats a varsity runner's time or any Norrix freshman girl who runs will get their registration reimbursed by Coach Schmidt. Come and see what it is like to run a 5k on the grass at Portage West Middle school.

This meeting will be very important as they are showcasing their "Big Sister, Little Sister "program with Milwood Middle School coming up! Please join them and spread the word! Imagine yourself immersed in the unrivaled Spanish architecture of Gothicism, Gaudi, and Gehry or any of the 45 UNESCO World Heritage sites that pepper the countryside. Picture leafing through the books of Porto's Livravia Lello, the 100 year-old bookstore that inspired the library at Hogwarts in the Harry Potter series. Our Norrix runners competed at the KRESA course on Tuesday for the last Jamboree of the season. In front of many friends and family on senior recognition day, your Knight cross country runners performed well. While the course didn't allow for great times, most kids placed better than projected.
The women's team fell to Lakeview on a tie-breaker but due to beating them in the 1st Jamboree, tie for the divisional crown. Reaghan finished 3rd with a personal best time and Ana won the meet by over 30 seconds. The men's team finished third in the race and division. Big steps up were taken by Eli with a personal best, Cash, and Sam finishing much better than projected. Oskar also made a big jump finishing 7th overall.
