The first Green School meeting will be today after school in room B-14. Come and see what we are all about. All are welcome! Attention any and all students that have not picked up their Chromebook: There will be 2 opportunities to pick up a Chromebook today. Students can come to the library entrance between the A wing and the B wing, with a pass, during first hour at 8:00 or during 5th hour at 1:20 Attention All High Achieving Junior Students: Are you interested in earning more money for college? See you at our first meeting Tuesday, September 13th in Room D13 at 230. AAC will begin next week Tuesday the 13th. If you need help after school, please check with your teachers Monday for the most updated AAC room lists. AAC will normally run Monday through Thursday from 230 to 330." Attention All High Achieving Junior Students. Are you interested in earning more money for college? Then the PSAT/NMSQT test may be for you. Please sign up in the Counseling Office. If you have any questions of whether or not you should take the test, please send an email to your counseling asking this question. Attention all students, Please join the Key Club at our first meeting for the school year on Tuesday, September 13th. Key Club is an international, student led organization that provides its members opportunities to provide service, build character, and develop leadership. See you at our first meeting Tuesday, September 13th in Room D13 at 230. Congratulations to the men's tennis team for doing the most volunteer hours outside of the volunteer day. Athletes keep looking for volunteer opportunities and be sure to record your time using the QR code posted in the athletic office window. The cross country teams have gotten off to an amazing start this year. The boys finished 10th out of 20 teams at the Early Bird meet and 4th out of 9 at the Early Burg meet with 5 medaling. This is several spots higher than last year. The girls' team did even better, finishing 4th out of 18 teams and 3rd out of 10 teams with 6 girls medaling. Our runners are working hard and will be ready for their next meet in Holland. We are looking for more runners, especially freshman girls, to join our strong and positive group. Attention Boys Varsity Basketball returning players - please see Coach Trey at some point today or stop by the Athletic Office beginning after first period. Sword and Board will meet for the last session of the year today, in C16 from 230-330. All tabletop gamers and games are invited. Students signed up or interested in taking AP Chemistry next year, please see Miss Weaver in K-17 for the summer assignment and Google Classroom information Anyone interested in running cross country in the fall or interested in training with the cross country team over the summer should stop by Coach Schmidt's room in K 16 ASAP. The summer assignment will be emailed to you but you can pick up a physical copy as well. All library books are overdue! The Loy Norrix athletic department is hiring student helpers for the 2022-2023 fall season. If you are interested in being an announcer, working in the concession stand or being an assistant please apply. These are paid positions. You can find the QR code posted in the athletic office. All students who had artwork in a showcase, please come to Mr. Stevens to pick up your pieces before you leave for summer. If you are interested in attending Phoenix High School next year, and have passed English 9 and Algebra 1, please contact your counselor to attend an informational meeting. All track athletes: You need to return your uniforms to Coach Duckett, Savicke, or Schmidt as soon as possible. They do not have to be washed. Attention All Students: Any and all library books are due Tuesday, May 31st. Please email Ms. Landis and/or Mr. Kreider with any questions or concerns. The Spring Dance Concert will showcase dance styles such as Lyrical, Contemporary, AfroBeat, Ballet, and Hip Hop! Hope to see you there. Good Morning Knights! The Women Empowerment Club is hosting their LAST meeting for the school year! Join them after school today, Wednesday, May 25th in room A-10 to end the school year! Snacks will be provided!" The Loy Norrix athletic department is hiring student helpers for the 2022-2023 fall season. Travel Club 2022 for Italy and France will have a group meeting today, May 25th at 6:30 in room A-12. You will be getting your final information before departure. We are 30 days away from lift off. There will be a makeup meeting on Thurs. the 26th. at 2:30 in A-12 All students who had artwork in a showcase, please come to Mr. Stevens to pick up your pieces before you leave for summer. The Loy Norrix Forensics team completed their season this past weekend with a tournament on Mackinac Island, competing in many new and exciting categories. Riley Sackett and Aanje Greymountain advanced to semi-finals in pocket sales. In the mini-mupltiple Catie Frink, Kameron Long, Yacine Lo, and Ellen Terzino finished 4th while Max Achenbach, Liam Braun, Braeden Davis, and Hollis Masterson took first place. Elias Nagel-Bennett not only took first place in the Marvel Movie Quotes Impromptu, but he also received a PERFECT score of 100 from ALL eight of his judges. The entire team contributed to bring home a first place trophy for Loy Norrix in the Mackinac division. Great season Loy Norrix Forensics! Go Goose!
