Attention Actors! If you are interested in auditioning for the Loy Norrix Musical, there is a free audition workshop after school this Thursday at 2:45 in the Choir Room J12. This is a great opportunity to learn audition songs, learn the audition dance, meet the directors, and ask questions. The Loy Norrix Varsity volleyball team defeated Waldron & Union City to win second place at the Union City Quad last night. Senior Kylie Kilgo led the team in points with 12 kills and 3 aces; followed by sophomore Gracie Goschke with 9 kills and 5 aces. Senior Bianca Hobson contributed 13 points with 11 kills and 2 aces, followed by junior Reese Link and sophomore Riley Ketchum who contributed 8 points each in kills and aces. Be sure to wish our Lady Knights good luck as they prepare for districts on Monday at Battle Creek Central.

This past Saturday the Loy Norrix Marching Band traveled up to the Grand Rapids area to perform at the East Kentwood Marching Band Competition. Your Marching Knights had a fantastic performance, out of numerous bands placed 4th, their highest placement yet at this prestigious show. Your LN Band also beat out cross town rival Kalamazoo Central, for the second time this year! It was a great way to end a successful and historic Marching Band season for the LN Marching Knights!
Over the weekend, your Cyber-Knights competed in the first round of the Air Force Association's Cyberpatriot competition. They went up against teams with over 5 years of experience. While they themselves have had less than 2 months of training. They still managed to find over 75% of scored vulnerabilities placing them in the top 46th percentile in Michigan and top 43rd percentile in the world. They will continue to hone their cybersecurity skills before the next round in November. If you would like to know more about how to protect yourselves and others from would-be hackers, please join us in room M1 Tuesdays and Thursdays after school.

Thank you to everyone who showed up at the Pumpkin Painting Party! A HUGE shout out to the students in D-11, M1A, afternoon CBVE, NHS, Key Club, and everyone who came to paint a pumpkin! This wouldn't have been accomplished without your help! Pumpkins were delivered to 43 agencies and cheer will be shared with many!
