Loy Norrix Student Section Goes Bananas

The Loy Norrix Student Section cheers on the Knights to a win at Sturgis.
The Loy Norrix Student Section cheers on the Knights to a win at Sturgis.

When people think of peeling, chopping, and slicing bananas, most do not think of a student section cheer. However, this is one of the Loy Norrix Student Section cheers, and a favorite at that. At the end of the cheer when the “bananas” are properly prepared, the whole student section “goes bananas.”

According to Andrew Laboe, Loy Norrix athletic director, “Anything that gets everybody involved is fun.”

If you would like to be a part of this fun, spirited, and energetic crowd, student section t-shirts are available for $10 on Tuesday, December 11th. If you buy a t-shirt and wear it to home games, you will get in for free. If there are 12 home games this season, which means that you only pay 83 cents per game.

However, remember that the t-shirt does not only apply to basketball. Get out and support Loy Norrix’s sports programs!
The shirts are black; so if you do not want to buy a shirt for some ridiculous reason, make sure to wear black so that you will look uniform with the rest of the student section.

Also, if you’d like to be even more involved, you can follow @Knightmare on Twitter or “Like” the Knightmare group on Facebook.
