Please see your Kalamazoo Promise coach Mr. Moore in the library to sign up to attend and get more information. Homecoming dance tickets are available at lunch or in Ms. Corstange’s room for $10 each. The dance is October 6 from after the football game until 11:00. AAC will be open for tutoring today from 2:30 to 3:30 in the following rooms; English in B11, science in B14, and study hall in C16. All other rooms are closed due to a teacher meeting. The Sword and Board club will meet in room C16 from 2:30 to 3:30 this Thursday. All tabletop gamers and games are invited to join. If you are interested in playing men's volleyball, come check out the open gym in the main gym this Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00. Be sure to contact Coach Mac if you have any questions. If you are a senior, stop by the Counseling Office as soon as possible to sign up for a meeting with your counselor. Senior meetings are mandatory for all students in the 12th grade. Sign up sheets will be in the hallway, and passes will be emailed before your meeting. Attention all environmentalists: Green School will meet in Room B14 after school this Thursday. All are welcome. The Loy Norrix volleyball team will play against Battle Creek Central tonight at 5:30. Students are encouraged to wear blue to support your team. Friday is Spirit Day. Wear your class colors - red for freshmen, yellow for sophomores, green for juniors and blue for seniors. If you cannot wear your class color, blue and white is always acceptable as well.

If you are interested in joining Key Club, please pick up the membership profile outside of Ms. Nelson's room, D13. Key Club is an international club in over 35 countries around the world. Its mission is to serve, build character and develop leadership. Being an active member looks great on resumes and college applications. Please see Ms. Nelson or a current Key Club member if you have any questions. The Western Michigan University School of Medicine is now accepting applications for their 2023-2024 Early Introduction to Health Careers Program. This is a mini-medical school for high school students interested in exploring health careers. The program is offered to 10th, 11th and 12th graders. The flyer with the link to the application is posted in the Counseling Office and each teacher also received this in an email. Applications must be received by Sept. 30. The Travel Club has announced our 2024 destination as Scandinavia: Sweden, Denmark and Norway. In our 25th year of international travel, we would like to invite students and interested adults to join us in this great adventure. Please go to the athletic office and collect your prize. Female flag football practice day is today from 5:30 to 7:00 on the practice field for Junior and Senior females who wish to play. If you are playing football, you must be cleared by your coach to participate. You will need to leave campus after school and return for the 5:30 practice. If you stay and hang out after school to wait for practice, you will no longer be allowed to play, so please exit the building at 2:20. There will also be a practice from 4:00 to 5:00 on Monday and the game will follow at 5:15. Coach Kyle will be the supervisor for the Juniors, and Mr. Atiba Ward will supervise the Seniors. We had some ties in homecoming nominations so some of you have runoff ballots in your inbox. Please vote before noon today and we will announce the Court at the end of the day. Nominations for the Homecoming Court will remain open until the end of school today. Our goal is to announce the court at the end of the day today. You can vote by using the link sent to your email. There is also another form in your email for choosing Spirit Week ideas. Homecoming dance tickets will be sold during all 3 lunches as soon as possible. Tickets are $5. The registration for the Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament for students and staff will remain open through Wednesday. Don’t be shy, sign up, because it will be a lot of fun. Attention students: homecoming is 1 week away. Today, you will receive the following Google Forms:

All forms will be open from 2:30 today until noon tomorrow. The Homecoming Dance will be held on Friday, Oct. 6, from after the football game until 11:00. The tickets are $5 and will be on sale at all 3 lunches. There are guest forms available in the Athletic Office. The annual Female Football game will be Monday, Oct. 2, at 5:15. There will be 2 practices. The first will be this Thursday from 5:30 to 7:00 on the practice field. The second will be on Monday, Oct. 2, from 4:00 to 5:00 just before the game. Current Fall athletes must have permission from their coach in order to participate. The Chromebook help desk in the library will be closed today. The library will be closed during 4th Hour today. We need actors of every age, gender, and ethnicity to sing and dance their way through this hilarious and charming show. Auditions will be after school from 2:30 to 5:30 in the choir room, J12.
