High school sports are usually judged by the success of their varsity team. However, not to be overlooked is our junior varsity soccer team, whose overall record is 12-2-1 so far this season.  The Loy Norrix junior varsity won first place in their home invitational on Saturday, October 9th.

The JV team played Kalamazoo Home School’s varsity team and Vicksburg’s junior varsity, who are both strong, well-structured teams. The winning scores were 1-0 and 2-1, respectively.

The JV soccer team has played a very successful season so far this fall.  “The team’s record proves that we are tough enough to step up and face any challenge,” said junior and captain Oscar Castro.

With their last two games against Portage Northern and Hackett Catholic Central this week, the JV team expects to end the season with a strong kick.
