The men’s swimming and diving team made history last night with a 109-76 win over Portage Central. This was the teams first dual meet win against the Mustangs in program history! Cheer on the team next Tuesday as they go up against the Portage Northern Huskies at home. Protect the Castle!
Our Black History Month person of the day is Maya Angelou: Maya Angelou was an American memoirist, popular poet, and civil rights activist. She published seven autobiographies, three books of essays, several books of poetry, and is credited with a list of plays, movies, and television shows spanning over 50 years. She was best known for her unique and pioneering autobiographical writing style.
Seniors - it's Senior Superlative/Mock Election time for the yearbook! Check your email for the form to nominate yourself or your peers for categories like Best Dressed, Most Creative, and Class Clown. Nominations are due by midnight on Monday, so don't delay!

Loy Norrix Baseball will have an informational meeting next week Wednesday Feb 8th. The meeting will be right after school in the weight room. We will start around 2:30. If you are able to stay after the meeting we will have a short team workout. We will be done no later than 3:45. If you plan on playing baseball this spring you need to attend this meeting. If you cannot attend, please contact Coach Rickli.
Attention returning or new Men's Golfers: There will be a meeting on Wednesday, February 8th in the Cafeteria at 1:45 pm. Please come to the Athletic Office on that day to get a pass to attend.
Happy Winterfest Friday! Today is Blue and White Day. Today is the Pep Assembly during 5th period featuring the Band, DJ Chuck, special student performers and many games and activities. If you are not shy, feel like you know music and are not afraid to be in an event, stop by the Athletic Office beginning with the first lunch. You have the opportunity to be involved!
