Students Showcase Art at EFE Expo

On Tuesday evening May 10th, from 5 to 8 p.m. there was a EFE photo/ Visual Imaging program art show. It was at Kalamazoo Central High School in rooms 522 & 535 with a range of artists showing off their artwork from Loy Norrix High School and Kalamazoo Central High School. The artists Makayla Bush, Olivia Vande Pol and Rellisha Jackson all made an appearance with their favorite artwork from Loy Norrix.

Q: What got you into art and photography?
A: “My dad always loved it and when he passed away when I was young, I got into it because I feel like I have a connection with him.”
Q: Do you like drawing or photography more?
A: “I’ve always enjoyed photography more.”
Q: How long have you been taking photos or drawing?
A: “I’ve been into it for around 2 years.”
Q: Is this just a passion or something you could see yourself doing in the future for a career?
A: “It’s just a passion, not something I can see myself doing seriously in the future.”

A: “I took [an] art in design EFE and was interested in it, I fell in love with it and had a lot of fun.”
Q: Do you like drawing or photography more?
A: “I used to like photography more, but I like drawing more now.”
Q: How long have you been taking photos or drawing?
A: “I’ve been drawing all my life because I wanted to be a artist when I grew up but more this year than ever.”
Q: Is this just a passion or something you could see yourself doing in the future for a career?
A: “It has always been a passion, but I want an art career in graphic design.”

A: “It’s always been just a passion and not something I could see myself doing for a career.”
